As a born-again Christian man who struggles with same sex attraction, I want to share a website for anyone out there who shares this struggle and is looking for real change in their life. Don't let anyone lie to you!!! Homosexuality is not something that you are born with, nor is it something that you cannot change. While the attractions are not of our choosing, the DECISION to follow through on them is, and we must struggle with them through the only means that works--Jesus Christ. For your own life's sake, visit this website NOW!!! http://www.settingcaptivesfree.com/door_hope/enroll.php
I believe it will come in time. I have a friend who was a lesbian. I never thought in a million years she would change but her relationship with Christ grew and soon she found herself attracted to a man who she is now married to. So, yes it is possible. God honors those that follow Him and He will honor you at some point.
Oh, and I think at this time you should just be focusing on purity and your relationship with God which I think you are doing. But as far as just not being attracted to women, my opinion is that at this point you just haven't met the right women at all. You will and when you do it will be so natural. I do hope you do meet a good Godly women and have a big family.
Dear Joe, Congratulations on your faith and perseverence. I would like to ask you if you know of any ex-homosexuals who are atheists?
Jib, that was one of the most interesting posts I've ever read. I'm sure that what you said about your own experience is the case for many others, and I bet that the same scenario is true of women, except with the genders switched. Thank you for this enlightenment! I'm glad you found your wife and that through her influence the Lord found YOU.
HA! You just haven't met "the one"!
:-)
I'm hoping "the one" is out there for me.
I haven't met any. I know of several who are holding fast to the Lord for real change though. I meet with a group every two weeks at a local church.
