The English language maintains some gender-related pronoun definitions.
In French, every thing has a gender, Le (for male) or La (for female)
That's why it's Le Chien (the dog) and La chatte (the cat).
In the abscence of specifics, most items in English are deemed to be male. That's why there's no such thing as a "fisherwoman".
But some things do have female gender. For instance boats, which are usually referred to as "she"
So what you are saying wouldn't hold up in court for a second.
