Lee Corso Cracks Up On Dallas Radio Station

What started out as a cliched collection of yarns, quickly turned unexpectedly awkward and tense after the 'clown prince' of college football Lee Corso ironically objected to some good natured ribbing from KTCK-AM radio host Dan McDowell.

During the interview before the Doak Walker Awards in Dallas, Corso, who roomed with Burt Reynolds at Florida State, delighted in telling the duo well worn stories about Reynolds posing for Cosmo Magazine in the 1970's.

McDowell then followed up the anecdote on Reynolds by joking, 'Not a lot of people know this but Lee Corso was actually the second person to pose nude, correct'?

Following the quip, an apparently offended Corso wemt stone silent, with a stunned host saying, 'Or did I read that wrong?'

After a long pause, Corso began [his long verbal harrangue] with, 'I wont even give you a next question.'

He said, 'I think that was very sarcastic and I don't appreciate it. And Im not kidding..'

Corso needs to lighten up.

I always enjoyed Corso on TV. Never realized he was so thin-skinned and self-important.

Lee Corso? Never heard of him.

But it sounds like he has a terrific sense of humor. Ahem.

Great, another preening putz who can't take a joke unless he comes up with it. I mean, it isn't like the "Gameday" commercials don't poke fun at him, they do it all the time during the show too. What the heck's this all about?

Sounds like the host did a nice job of setting him up for a typical Corso-self-depricating joke, and Corso whiffed.

I would be all "You are incorrect sir, I was the first that posed nude but since it was in 'Chess for Asians Magazine' it didnt get the same publicity..."

I think Corso should ease up on the sincerity on a radio show.

Used to watch the Lee Corso show for unintended humor when he was the football coach at Indiana University.

The man is a moron.

I think this confirms the internet rumor that Corso has microphallus syndrome.

I was in the same airport gate with Corso one time. He had problems with his ticket. He was polite and courteous to the airline staff.

Corso sure offends easy for a guy that seems to like to have fun.

Spent 10 years in Dallas and this is a great Sports radio station(KTCK The Ticket). A great blend of sports and humor. They have a great track record of getting over on unsuspecting guests. One of them once called out a legendary Bills or Patriots announcer on a live show for farting in the booth.

(Violin intro.)Maybe he's going through Mentalpause and is feeling sensitive and vulnerable. Maybe there's a deep seeded resentment because Cosmo chose Burt and not him, and this really damaged he's feelings of self-worth. When McDowell opened up and exposed this deep wound the floodgates of Corso's mind filled with horrible memories of such a devastating event in his life which he was forced to relive all over again(weeping).
