when a smokingly HOT teacher has consensual sex with a teen boy is facing 100 plus years in the pokey.

I was watching the morning news today and the crawler at the bottom of the screen read (and one right after the other):

1. Woman who ripped arms off of her baby will not be tried because she's mentally unfit.

2. Man convicted of animal cruelty when his starving dog was found eating carcases in th back yard. Will serve 2 days in jail.

Well maybe "smokingly" was going over the top, and that is not a good picture of her. But the comparison still stands,
Which would you choose? Even if the woman looked like Rosie O'Donut I'd have to go with her :)

It's disturbing really.

IMO, the media gives them a "pass" because they are women. There isn't the outrage there should be for this sort of behavior with these female teachers. All some men see on here is a pretty blond teacher. They fail to seriously recognize that she is being charged with a serious felony.

You can see it on other threads regarding the story of Pamela Rogers Turner and others like it. FReepers joking about "...I wish I had a hot teacher like that when I was in school". I realize most are saying it in jest, but still, it's not something I find amusing.

Turn the circumstances around and say it was male teacher having a sexual relationship with a one of his female students. There would be complete outrage by society and the media (as there should be), but the ones that are posting jokes about this particular case and ones like it would be completely disgusted if the tables were turned.

It's a double-standard and hypocritical.

Yep...I've got a little girl and a little boy, and I cannot even imagine how PO'd I'd be if either one of their teacher's took advantage of them this way.
