DefendtheDefenders.org raises money and awareness for the defense of soldiers and Marines whose actions in the heat of combat are being second-guessed. As America rallies behind the rhetoric, the talk of bringing terrorists to justice must be translated into action. Fighting men and women with wills of steel are in dark corners of the world getting their hands dirty where the rubber meets the road so policy can become a reality. These men and women are placed in harms way and are required to make split-second, life or death decisions decisions that could cost them their own lives.
DefendtheDefenders.org stands behind the man who puts his life on the line again and again, who makes life or death decisions in the blazing heat, exhaustion, fear and confusion of war while conducting combat operations intended to capture or kill the enemy and as a result of his actions in combat becomes the subject of an investigation or even formal charges.

Just watched Mrs. Pantano on Fox News. What an incredibly dignified and strong person. I don't know if could be so. I plan on following this story and do whatever I can.
Thank you for your support.
I was in combat in Nam in 69 & 70 and I can tell you from personal experience that it's the toughest job in the world.
And I don't know if I would have passed the muster these guys have to pass today.
Believe you me, I didn't go around checking ID's! LOL
We were paid to kill bad guys and he who hesitated didn't make it back!

The mom was just on H&C. She said there was another soldier in her son's unit who was very upset with her son - and he was the one who lodged the charges against her son.
She didn't have many other details.
Sounds like this was a payback. Hopefully, this young man will be exeronated.
First, I'd like to thank you and your family for their support and especially your son for his service.
Second, it appears to me that you think that I have a son or daughter in the military. That is incorrect. I am a former Viet Nam combat Marine.
But I am doing all I can to support the troops.
My gut feeling is that Lt. Pantano will be exonerated.
Semper Fi,
Kelly
