What Day Did You Say?
So Valentine’s Day has come around,
He sticks his head out of the ground,
He sniffs the air and puzzled, stares,
Curious odors have filled the airs.
He smells the chocolate, and the nut,
He smells the roses, all this, but,
There’s something not quite right about,
This time of year to venture out.
He knows that Spring has not sprung yet,
And he won’t risk this unsure bet,
These early days are short on numbers,
So why should he disturb his slumbers?
He finds a useful prize to shove,
Out to his mate to prove his love,
Then, thinking that he’s done his part,
He rests his unromantic heart.
