UFO sighted over Washington DC

While doing maintenace on the inteldesk.com website, I noticed something odd about the Washington image feed, and queried further. Some screen shots were taken

A telephone call was placed to NUFORC.org. Hotline 206-722-3000 .

The call was answered by the Director. Instructions were given to email the link, so that the image could be confirmed coming from the government webcam. located at http://www2.nature.nps.gov/air/WebCams/parks/nacccam/wash.jpg

Dear Mr. Rea,

Thank you very much for the telephone call, and for the link.

That is an unusual object! However, it might take a great deal of investigation to prove that it is an alien ship. One possibility I believe we have to allow for is a military aircraft with bright lights. However, that seems quite unlikely to me, given that the airspace above the capital is closed to most a/c.

I will ponder the situation...

Thanks, again, for sharing the information with our Center!

Cordially,

Peter Davenport

THAT

Is very interesting. It does NOT look like a time-exposure artifact to me, or cloud reflections. If it's real and raw footage, well, dang!

Turned out to be flares from a Military jet.

Looks like a meteor breaking up. I've seen this 4 times. They do make a very spectacular and spooky show.

That's plausible, but it sure looks to have complex dimensions and varied material compenents, even on the sized-up image. Very, very interesting.

If it weren't for the fact that it is wintertime, this looks like the kind of image certain bugs make when photographed by video camera.

Look at the car lights at the lower center of the photo, the lights of the cars appear as if a time exposure

The object appears to be moving in the opposite direction of the cars, notice the (tail) light streak.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm! Interesting.

I gather you'd label it as likely authentic?

THX.

With the dramatic things going on with Jerusalem and Israel these days--at least looming near--it could be that more disclosures are looming, too. Wheeeee. Aaaaaargh.

It appears to be something without wings.

I am an average, middle-aged woman who works in an office. I am not someone who looks, thinks or reads about UFOs, but I saw a UFO (??) once in DC.

I lived in the city in the Cleveland Park neighborhood, and saw the UFO when I went downtown to Union Station to take an Amtrak to New York -- I can't remember the year, but it was probably the mid-1990's.

The time of the day was early sunset. I saw a large disc shaped object over the US Capitol Building. The object was larger than a small plane, and it was not a ballon or a plane.

I actually saw it, and assumed it had to be a promotional device of some kind or there had to be some explanation for it hovering over a government building. It was outside, not the reflection of lights in my windows.

I'm a pretty big proponent of UFO's, but this one looks silly.

I believe that at a later time somebody identified this "UFO" as type of U.S. remote controlled reconnaissance drone. Explanation makes perfect sense to me. A stealthy drone flying near the camera would not cause drivers on D.C. roads to even look up.
