Re-live the pain and suffering of DU on election night!

Sometimes when its late at night, I like to look back on election night. I love to go over to DU and relive the pain and sorrow they went through. Call me crazy, but I love to watch the pain they go through during those hours. It just so happens that DU's archives are still open. All the way back ti Nov 2nd. Watch as they feel they are going to win the election (early exit polls), all the way to total melt down - when they know it’s lost. Its such a good feeling. I think everyone on this site needs to go there and read those posts. Its so much fun.

Just type out a big rant about how Bush is going to start up the draft to liberate Cuba, or how John Ashcroft is going to be nominated for SCOTUS.. or other hilarious stuff to scare them. You have to spend a long time developing your cover over at DU to do something like that convincingly. Loonies though they are, they are almost as good at spotting trolls as Freepers are.

I would love to be made a moderator over there, but it would require several months wroth of feigning lunacy in order to have two or three days of destructive fun, and I'm just not up to it.

Plenty of stuff like that over there now. They scare themselves to death when they're not posting threads like "I need a hug". The day after the election I was lurking and those peeps were in meltdown. They were saying things like "buy an AK-47 and take it to the streets!". I almost broke cover and reminded them that the conservatives are the ones with all the guns. The level of posting over there is way lower than what's on FR and they're supposed to be the intellectual elite to hear them tell it.

Is it strictly considered trolling to go there and challenge their worldview with rational, internally and externally consistent arguments?

Or would challenging the consensus as an open conservative just get you banned? Has anyone tried this?

Yes, I've been detected and thrown off over there three times. I haven't attempted to go back on there in a couple of years.
