This is my first post here. I wanted to say hello and introduce myself. As you can tell by my handle, I'm a huge Ann Coulter fan. :-)

I've actually been checking out the site for a while... ever since a friend mentioned for about the third time. I finally decided to get registered today (slow day at work...).

Anyway, here's the topic:

I am really psyched up about the idea of partially privatizing social security. in fact, I wish it'd been done years ago. and I want it to be to a higher percent. so I wrote to both my senators and my congressman about it.

what other ideas are out there that could help improve our country???

I want to hear them... anybody have ideas??

make tax day and election day one and the same. maybe make it a national holiday... call it Good Citizenship Day or something.

the point is, right now, tax day is about as far from election day as it can get. but do you think people would vote differently if they had to turn in their taxes at the polls, just before they go pull the lever?

I also think that turning in your tax forms at the polls would encourage more people to vote... they'd BE there already anyway.

You didn't say it poorly at all. And I am not the only one that likes it. I've seen other people use it to make the case for the FairTax.

I was in USAF from 72-76. Went to WP in 74. 30 years adds a lot.

this is true of me... I have no idea how much I actually make. I recently got a raise and my 401K deductins FINALLY kicked in (after almost two years with the company), and paychecks are automatically deposited to my account, AND my boss is too lazy to give out paystubs until they start piling up on his desk. So I only have a rough estimate of what I'm making pre-tax right now.
