The show aired, and his name his....

Flanders said he didn't know his name.

"My name is Jeff Albertson, but everyone calls me Comic Book Guy."

Worst name ever. And shame on them for giving in. Charles Schulz of Peanuts fame never gave in to the plea to finally have Charlie Brown kick the football held by Lucy.

Outside of the rare episode, The Simpsons 'jumped the shark' in the late 90s.

Futurama ate its lunch for as long as it lasted =(

And BJ Hunnicutt never disclosed what BJ stood for.

There was a kid named Jeff Albertson living in my small town when I was growing up... I have no idea where he ended up, but I'll bet he will be hearing some bad CBG imitations for a while.

I'm pretty certain he did kick it in one of the videos. Snoopy gave him an invisibility potion which worked for awhile, and so Charlie Brown managed to kick the football a few times before (without his knowledge) the potion wore off and Lucy went back to her football-snatching ways.

I did like a cartoon I saw shortly after CS's death where Charlie Brown found his mailbox full of love letters, walked by the stump of the Kite Eating Tree, kicked the football, and was greeted by an angel "Welcome home Mr. Schulz".
