I don't understand why Pit Bulls are always getting such terrible press, because if they are raised properly, they are very friendly, very sweet dogs. They're not any more vicious naturally than any other breed of dog.
This is a good flash movie about Pit Bulls. Includes a lot of well-researched statistics as well.

Pitt bulls should not be allowed in neighborhoods. Ban these dogs!
We got a new mixed breed puppy from the pound a few months ago. We can't seem to keep a pure breed out in this area. They tend to just disappear. The mutts the dognappers tend to leave alone. - Our puppy is a male, eats like a champion and is rather porky. As he's getting older, he looks like he might have a touch of pit bull in his makeup. He is sort of a sandy yellow, every bit a boy (we haven't had much experience with male dogs), has to have tons of toys to drag all over the yard, mistook a pair of my new leopard fur houseshoes for little animals every time my feet moved, so I had to just give them to him for his very own. He is not aggressive, very subservient to our older female dog, Dixie (she is the BOSS, but loves to play rough with him). He tries so hard, but he is SO messy and sort of like the big tough guy who is whupped down by a bunch of women. His name is Stoney (for Stonewall Jackson), but I'm beginning to think the name applies to his hard head. He has a very furrowed brow and his ears stick straight up and flop over.
Can anyone tell me what other dogs are yellow besides golden retrievers?
That's the same as letting a potentially violent dog out to roam the nieghborhood. The owner should be charged with at least manslaughter.
When I was a kid, dangerous dogs were required to wear muzzles. Bring 'em back.
That poor woman; what a horrible way to die. :(
