Hey, everybody ! Happy Monday!

Sorry I'm late gettin' here. Dad came up this morning and I did his taxes for him.

Then we went to lunch and he left a little bit ago.

Playin' catchup now. :^)

Happy Send A Card To A Friend Day! Look what I found while out looking around...

Invitation for a Secret

Over 3000 visitors to a Washington DC arts festival picked up postcards (like the one below) inviting them to share a secret anonymously.

During "Artomatic", dozens of PostSecret cards with secrets written and/or illustrated on the back were received through the mail.

Now you are invited to share a secret. You can help the collection grow to included a secret from every state and other countries. To participate, just express your thoughtful secret on a 6-inch by 4-inch card and mail it to:

PostSecret
13345 Copper Ridge Road
Germantown, MD 20874

Feb 9:
Chinese New Year

My wife is Chinese. She fixed up some "Jowsahs" (spelled wrong probably, but phonetically) yesterday and put them in the freezer (and gave some to her sister). They are a dumpling made from a mixture of ground pork or beef and chopped veggies, cooked by boiling and served with a soy/chopped garlic sauce. They are really "howchi" (delicious), too!!

We have woodpeckers in the foothills but I don't think we have any (or at least not many) in the valley. I've never seen one except in the mountains.

I have done much work at all for the lady that is ill. She's still working the same hours.

I have some work to do of my own, I, um, am goofing off here, I mean I'm still recouperating from my cold. Yeah, that's it.

There are at least three kinds here, plus during the summer there are 'yellow bellied sapsuckers' as well.
