Scooby Doo Punched in Face
By James Tapsfield, PA
A nightclubber dressed as Scooby Doo was attacked by a man who seems to have objected to his costume, police said today.
The 25-year-old victim had just got into a taxi outside the Escape club in Margate, Kent, at around 3am today when he was assaulted.
A spokeswoman for Kent Police said a 6ft tall, stocky white man wearing a cream coat opened the cab door and punched the famous cartoon character in the face.
She said: He didnt know him, and he doesnt seem to have met him at the nightclub during the course of the evening.
I dont know whether it was because of his costume.
The victim, from St Ives, Cambridgeshire, had been out clubbing with a group of friends and suffered a cut to his eye.
The spokeswoman added: Were not sure if any of the others were dressed as Scrappy.
Police are putting a tail on a suspect now, and hope to have him collared soon.
Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh?!
Do you think the cops are going to hound the suspect right through the dog days of summer, if necessary?
Well, they need to keep their noses to the ground and sniff out all the clues. I think they'e been barking up the wrong tree, if they learn a few tricks they should get the perp to roll over.
Ruh roh.
(laughing)
Okay, last one:
The perp will probably be able to flea-bargain his sentence.
Muttley would've groaned at that one, bud!
Said his wife Danielle, "If he thinks I'm calling myself Mrs Phooey he's got another think coming. He's done daft things before but this takes the dog biscuit."
Ill bet he stole his Scooby Snacks..
Look into his background. He was probably someone who would have gotten away with it, if it wasn't for those meddling kids and that dog
They're barking up the wrong tree.
Rut ro....

It's a good enough excuse to put up a pic of Daphne. Solve crimes! |
And he would have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for those kids!!!...JFK
I'd check out the sherrif, the guy who owns the amusement park, or the boatyard concession, or the real estate agent.
