Phenomenal talent. Wonder what he plays like sober? Haven't heard any of his stuff post G&R.
My tastes in music are eclectic, but talent is talent.

No sense of history either. Where's Dick Dale, "King of the Surf Guitar" and inventor of reverb?

Archie wouldn't look nearly as good in a tigerprint jumpsuit.
Now Jughead, on the other hand....

Let me guess: that idiot from U2 is on the list, but Terry Kath isn't.

1. Al DiMeola is not on the list (should be top 20)
2. Dickie Dale is #31 (should be top 20)
3. Eddie VanHalen is #70 (should be top 20)
4. Carlos Santana is #15 (should be top 3)
5. Neil Young, Kurt Cobain and Joni Mitchell are on the list at all. These are lyracists, nor guitar players.
This list is garbage

I think Billy Gibbons, Rory Gallagher and ALvin Lee need to be in the top 10, IMHO. Ten Years After bump !

I actually meant that Cobain, White and Ramone didn't deserve to be in the list instead of Setzer, Vai, Nugent and Satriani. I phrased it poorly.

Honestly...I can see why some people like Hendrix. He is not however one of my favorites either. I am not just into playing fast. Those who slow down sometimes Need to be good because every part of every note becomes critical in how it is played.

I agree.
Neil Schon from Journey and Lindsey Buckingham play great slow, soulfull rips. They are underrated.
To: pissant
Do they actually listen to music though? Let's be realistic here, Keith Richards? Great? Influential, I'll give him. I can play Rolling Stones songs and I can't play chords or read music.

The genius work of Alex Lifeson of Rush and David Gilmour of Pink Floyd would put them in my top ten list every time!
Evoking Guitarists both.
