I need serious help. I need to record 33 seconds of a song from my computer to a cd and I have no clue how to just record a portion of a song.
Does anyone out there know how I can accomplish this?
I have MusicMatch, Burn and Go, Roxio, and Winplayer.
Bump for later reference.
I am done. Thank you. It's saved in my music files.
Now for me to be a bigger pain. Is there a way for you to send 35 seconds of it? :)
I can "splice" pieces together that would equal @ 35 seconds if that's what you mean.
I'm watching NCIS right now. I'll get back to you. :-)
No, I don't need splicing, I just need the first 35 seconds, right until the scream of Michigan and then YEAH! Unless you are feeling really spunky and want to add about 3 or 4 michigans at the end:)
Go watch your shows, we can talk later. I am just so happy right now I can dance dance dance.
Try this one to see if you like it better.

I'm going to pass that on to my kid. He is becoming a really good guitarist.
Goldwave is pretty darn good. Granted, to computer newbies it'll look like the controls of an airplane or something, but it'll come to you. Just remember to copy your work (make a safety) beforehand just in case.
I like 4.26 myself, (and it's all you can use if you're running '95 or '98).

I downloaded your second version. Thanks, you can take it off your site now.
The first version works better for my purposes and I got permission from Jonathan Strong to use it.
Now I need to figure out how to use the first 33 seconds without wiping out the song again.
Thank you so much, it's now downloaded.
I tried the upgrade and it sucked on my OS (ME). I went back to 4.26. It's comfortable and hasn't failed me yet. I can make all kinds of audio tracks and dubs and what-not.
I do 1/2 hour looping soundtrack for our Halloween festivities every year and GoldWave is indispensible.
I checked his first upgrade from 4.26 and found it a little too busy for my needs. Admittedly Goldwave took some getting used to anyway, since it does so much.
Still, it's really a must-have for anyone's toolbox.
