Principal Susan Galante, acting on orders from higher-up's, did not allow students to go outside and pay their respects to their former student, friend and fallen soldier, citing a rule that banned more than one school function per day. (A pep rally was scheduled for later in the afternoon). Sounds like ya'll need publicly to identify just who this mysterious higher-up in Marietta is. Then let all of Marietta and FreeperWorld (we need email and snail mail addresses) know about his identity. I think between Marietta and FreeperWorld, the Mysterious one can be made, UNEMPLOYED!

Do you think you could ping your group to leave a message or prayer for this Catholic family here:
GUESTBOOK for JesusFonseca Jr. HERE
I noticed there are only a few remarks there. Perhaps that would help make it up to the family a bit.

We got rid of a pompous, anti-semitic Superintendent of Schools here in the city, he thought so well of himself he ran for County School Superintendent, he was lucky to have voted for himself the votes were so few. Last we heard the best job he's been able to get is a Concierge at some hotel in Vegas.

Thanks for alerting me, Ros42!
This is unthinkable to be so petty and disrespectful all at once. The callousness is beyond belief! Is this the U.S.A. anymore?
But then, I see what wonderful people we have here at Free Republic, so ready with prayers, psalms, respect and tributes. Jesus Fonseca, rest in peace.

Left message in guest book. It was not enough! Will add his family to my prayer list. It is still not enough. May he rest in Jesus' arms.

Thanks all so much for the pings. I almost missed it.
The teacher is probably an angry liberal.
Just sent off a respectful, but strong letter to the Superintendent of their schools.
Thanks Jay. I will do the same later today. Thanks for the links, Devolve.
May Pfc. Jesus Fonseca rest in peace, and may God bless his soul.

Not that it matters to the lack of respect by the school admin, but was this young man a soldier or a Marine? I saw that the family thanked the US Army in the obit. If a soldier, he needs to be honored as such, not as a Marine. Marines get pissed by being IDed as soldiers. The reverse is true as well.

I BUMP your outrage.
They're trying to turn this into another NAM and using our service members to vent on to turn the youth against youth.
It's all politics, If the john Skeerys were in office they'd be sending even more troops.
My little sister's son is in Iraq right now, and I see the left turning this in to $hit to throw at the troops and it PISSES me OFF.

HOOAH! ARMY BUMP! Thanks for helping to get those hypocritical, undeserving moonbats from "moveon.org" off of the guestbook. Their very presence was an insult to all those who serve.
