You know, more people have had trouble with that when SP2 gets interrupted. Usually it doesn't cause problems but you are about the 3rd person I have known it happen to.

You might check MS's tech support online and see if there is a question/answer on deleting downloaded updates. I know there is ONE file to not delete, and it is the history of updates.

If you can't get it fixed, you can (assuming you are using XP) pop in the XP CD and go to system restore. If you don't have that installed on your PC already, you can type some commands at the command prompt to copy "repair" files and it will restore it to the last working boot-up, even if the option to use "Last Known Good Configuration" (hitting F8 key while booting) doesn't work. let me know if I can help...

Hi...I put the disk in for the driver and started to load it....and it almost completed....but then it brought up an error stating it was corrupted. So, I went into the modem setup area and started poking around and pressed something called "QUERY THe MODEM". Well...information popped in there and I figured that was a 'good thing'. So I tried the install again and it WORKED! Query the modem! Query the modem! lol! I learned alot through this little virus corrupted computer. Will be glad to give it back to my brother who will be happy that he won't have to buy a new computer.....

Thanks for all your help!
