The article goes on to say that perhaps the USA should have given more... I'm kind of on the fence about this topic. It seems no matter what Bush does about this, he'll be criticized by either the dems or the republicans.

The US has given more, substantially more - through private donations.

I just love these leftists who somehow forget the money is the US Taxpayer's to give. I'm glad the US has a leader who thinks twice before shooting off the hip with money.

The only reason so much money has gone to the Far East is the media. What about Africa - the poorest region on earth? Hundreds of people die daily due to starvation and ethnic cleansing, but its not in the media's focus.

And is anyone following this money? Is it going directly to Indonesian coffers? I hope we aren't subsidizing tomorrow's terrorists.
