The pay should be good, especially if it is a union crew. And the food is part of the union contract. My son is a union musician and when he went on tour, the tour was required to provide "hospitality" before the performance, and between shows if they were doing a matinee and an evening performance.
At 19, he made and saved money going on tour, since his living expenses were covered and he could nurse his per diem money and bank the salary.
If you can eat that large, I say go for it!
