One of my co-workers is a drop dead gorgous Indian woman. She has a Tango ring tone on her cell phone for her husband's calls.
A man could do a lot worse that to have a spouse who associates him with the Tango...
What they are doing now, that conservatives are upset with, is just following exactly the decision in Marbury v. Madison in 1805 that established the supremacy of the courts in interpreting the law.
Occasionally the Supremes have invented something out of whole cloth, and occasionally a judge makes a mistake, who doesn't, but generally, the problem is that the legislators have written bad law.
Politicians are better at bullshitting than Judges, and are more remote from the problems, so Judges get the blame for the bad laws written by the Politicians.

Hey Swerv, they are all lawyers/pols/judges. They all spring from the same septic tank, and most of them are covered all over with what's in it.
Everything seems to be run by the "old boy network" in many fields today, and we isn't in it. ;)
It is time to put some non-lawyer judges on the Supreme Court.
While all lower courts, except usually Justices of the Peace, must be lawyers, there are no qualifications for the Supremes besides being over 35 and a citizen.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh...love the Tango. I used to teach it and all the others when I was young.
I taught Ballroom dancing for about two years before I got married, and had a partner and went to contests all the time in my pretty gowns. Sighhhh....I loved those years.

Yesssssssss...we need non-lawyers in a lot of places. Maybe we should have a moratorium on law schools for a few years, just to slow those suckers down.
I have always noticed the spiritual heaviness this time of year. Appropriate, as death twists the fragile cords of life in one final, desperate and futile grasp before it is swallowed by the miracle of new life.
I used to love roller skating the Tango with a partner. Different than regular dancing, certainly, but it was really fun. Couldn't do it now. I doubt I could even skate backwards now.

Libby if Governor Bush doesn't KNOW he has EXECUTIVE POWERS and that there couldn't be a more appropriate time to use them, then he should get his Ass out of office and let someone with some guts take his place. I have to ask WHY? I'm sorry, something stinks to high heaven here. He could have this situation corrected within the hour.
As to Greer, he may as well be the Governor. He clearly appears to carry more power. Greer is a DISGRACE. He's legally blind, can't read a damn thing even if he wanted to. Nobody can tell me he's read the briefs put in front of him. Also, he has NEVER allowed evidence from Terri's side. He's bought and paid for imo. IF this situation goes through to it's conclusion of Terri's death, and there is NOTHING done about it, I suggest that the folks in Florida should pack up and get the heck out. This will set a precedent like no other. It's very akin to how the Nazi's began. First the sick, the elderly, the disabled, then the race they didn't like. They starved and dehydrated these people to death too after, of course, there were many experiments done on unanesthesized people. I have changed my mind about a LOT of things after getting into this case. RINO'S are actually MORE DANGEROUS than outright Demoncrats. At least with the RATS you know what to expect. I'm still holding on for a miracle but truth is, Christians are God's hands, feet and mouths on THIS EARTH. It is US that HE works through. And even setting Christianity aside, there are other folks that aren't Christians that don't agree with killing disabled but otherwise healthy people. There are at least 17 Affidavits from board certified specialists who state that Terri is TREATABLE. Schiavi NEEDS this woman dead because SHE is the evidence against his botched murder. Ever see her bone scan? Multiple fractures in all different stages of healing. According to Dr. Baden, she shows evidence of strangulation. She didn't collapse from any heart attack from a potassium imbalance. Schiavo has tried to kill her twice since by injecting her with insulin. It goes on and on. You should read the transcript from what he testified to in Court to the Jury and Judge that awarded him the HUGE malpractice award. THAT award was earmarked for her REHABILITATION for a life expectancy of 50 years. The minute he got the award, he STOPPED ALL rehabilitation. For the last three years she has had no fresh air, no visitors, no radio, TV, no light, no stimulation of any kind. And last but not least, in view of the 17 Affidavits from board certified specialists which Greer refused to even listen to, FIFTY more doctors have OFFERED to assess/and/or treat her. It's time for a full blown REVOLUTION. People seem to forget that they can FIRE the Government. These twits serve at the pleasure of the PEOPLE. Not the other way around.

That was sort of an encapsulated synopsis. There is SO MUCH here that it would take pages to describe it. It's almost UNBELIEVABLE to me. IF the population REALLY had all the facts, It should lead to every decent florida citizen having the absolute need to VOMIT!! For the first time, I can say, I'm glad on this issue I'm here. The one guy in SASK. that decided to co'2 his severely disabled daughter to death to put her out of her misery is in JAIL. If I remember correctly, first trial was hung, second was a conviction and the conviction was upheld on appeal. Oh yeah, the Euthanasia crowd kicked up a fuss but they were soundly ignored.!! So Latimer is where he should be, looking at his cement walls.
Good cartoon, Peterson is being better treated than Terri. He's a double murderer, she's done nothing wrong but survived a botched murder. Go figure. And where are all the Susan Sarandons, Sean Penns, Barbara Streisands etc? The NOW hags? The silence is deafening.
