Terri responds to her mother's playful attention

You So9 might feel creepy around someone in that place or funny, but this is unconditional love of a parent....and if Terri were ever to speak someday she could reveal what really happen!
Kate Adamson when Terri came out of the coma 15 years ago she should have been put into rehab right a way...Kate said she when she came out of her coma she was in worst condition than Terri....it is criminal how they handled terri case!
BECAUSE ANIMALS ARE THE PROPERTY OF THEIR OWNERS. TERRI IS NOT THE PROPERTY OF HER HUSBAND. SHE IS A HUMAN BEING.
I'VE MET MANY IN MY WORK IN THE MEDICAL PROFESSION WHO THINK THE SAME AS YOU. THEY AND YOU HAVE THE SAME CRITERIA TO DESCRIBE THE QUALITY OF LIFE. IT IS 'WOULD I WANT TO LIVE LIKE THAT'? IF THE ANSWER IS 'NO' THEN THEY ARROGANTLY THINK NO ONE ELSE WOULD WANT TO OR SHOULD.
TERRI'S HUSBAND HAS NEVER GIVEN PERMISSION FOR HIS WIFE TO BE PROPERLY EVALUATED AS TO A DEFINED DIAGNOSIS/PROGNOSIS/REHAB POTENTIAL.
I haven't seen anything to give me any reason to think Terri is still in there. The doctors and all the Judges think that is an empty body, and so do I.
SO9
Is that a reason to treat her with less dignity and kindness than you granted to your cat?
SO9
TERRI DESERVES TO BE IN THE CUSTODY OF PERSONS WHO WOULD ALLOW HER THE DIGNITY OF PROPER MEDICAL CARE.
Well, if I starved and dehydrated my cat, I'd go to jail for animal cruelty.
*shrugs*
Good to see you, how you been?
You're right, we need to let her body be given a pint of morphine and sent on it's way. I don't believe in torturing her empty body any more than in torturing an oyster, which is about equally inteligent.
Good to see you, how you been?
As you can see, I've been doing grumpy and beligerent.
That's why I have been keeping my posts to other threads.

There has been a tug a war over the years on & off the feeding tube....

Michael wants Terri's body cremated following her death. Attorneys with the Thomas Moore Legal Center, a pro-life law firm, are worried that doing so would destroy any evidence investigators could use to ascertain whether Terri was a victim of domestic abuse
Her husband now has made sure she is not allowed sunlight, radio, no positive motion going on like music, or voices talking, no stroking for feeling alive, all things that enable one to move toward life has been denied to her, anything that enable her to grow toward recovery....on things that will assure her of leaving this state!
Terri is NOT ON LIFE SUPPORT she is living on her own BODY FUNCTIIONS lungs, heart, etc!
She could be spoon feed but is not allowed, because her husband said NO!
SHE IS Brain Damage NOT BRAIN DEAD!
Are the Retarded Next??
"As you can see, I've been doing grumpy and beligerent."
But we like ya when yer grumpy!
*chuckle*
I've been staying off those threads as well.
I think who ever did this site didn't need the effects for the documents speak volumes !

A lost mouse?
Likely story.......
Kate husband is a lawyer and when the doctor said it was ONE in a Million the Husband said than treat her like she is the ONE!
Terri has a greater chance than Kate did to recover but Terri husband was not interested!
Terri parents were more than willing to take over the responsibility to remove the burden of till death do we part from Michael as well as finacial!
Michael wants her Cremated if Michael were to give over the responsibility to the parents and when Terri died they could get an autopsy and find out what really happen....
I bet if CREAMATION was OFF the TABLE Michael would want her to live a long LIFE!

Yes, you are grumpy.
It was so so difficult to give the okay to withdraw the life support from my husband when he was brain dead, though his body and brain were both beyond repair and he just wasn't there. I cannot imagine the coldness of will involved in starving a woman who is damaged and dependent without ever giving her a chance for evaluation and rehab.
I believe in miracles.
Our miracle is that Greg is whole and healthy now as he never could have been on earth -- as no mortal who is still here can be. That's the clincher... none of us will ever reach the full potential endowed to us by our creator while on this earth, but He still has expectations of love and care and prayer from us. Terri's parents want to provide that for their daughter. It is godly.
You had no choice Val and I agree when one is beyond returning because they are brain dead, it is only merciful to release the body so the soul can move on....
One never forgets inspite of time.....
Under different conditions
An after thought is I think those Living Will can be tricky.....I think one really needs a lawyer before signing a Living Will to make sure the medical powers don't abuse/violate the situation!
Neither her husband nor the Judge can have her cremated until the Medical Examiner has signed off on her death.
The proper procedure is for her parents to petition for a Coroners Inquest and autopsy due to suspicious injuries.
Her parents appeal to have her or her body turned over to them was denied because it had no legal basis.

In 1978 I dove in 3ft of water and broke my neck. C1+C2+C3 + my adontoid. I remember hearing the doctors talking and surprised I was still alive. I couldn't reply and to make matters worse I could not stay conscious. Later I think they refered to it as "in and out".
I will never forget hearing people say that there was nothing they could do for me and that I was for sure going to die. I was crying inside and unable to reply or communicate with anyone.
I remember it all. My mother and father crying and asking the doctor if I was in pain and the doctor telling them I had no chance at survival.
Im glad no one gave up on me because miracles can and do happen.

This is not a perfect world.
Mistakes happen.
That doesn't mean we should keep tens of thousands of people a year who are either vegetables or in great pain alive in order to save that one freak case.
We just have to do the best we can.

I think a marriage is a contract to be one until death do we part in sickness an in health, for rich or poor etc.
It seems to me he broke the contract when he had an afair with another so I think a case can be made that Michael Schievo no longer has a legal basis and a Conflict which is a state of opposition between two parties.
