The lights are on but nobody's home?
There's no curtains?
There's no one sitting in the chair by the lap top?
Yes, my speakers on, but there's no sound! : )
After a bit, a pic flashes up on the screen and a sound plays of a scream..
There's no curtains..
There is a laptop computer open on the table with no-one in attendance.
It is haunted.
*shrugs*
lol; I'll have to try that again later! : ) Thanks darks. (For some reason, I knew YOU'D have no problem!!!)
*chuckle*
I sceeered it.
morning, grannie!
Mornin' y'all. Thanks, Nic. I did sleep a little better last night, but I still feel like crap this morning. It's maybe a little better, but that's deceptive, because I can feel some better for a few hours then start feeling really awful again. I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon.
You'll probably get some anti-biotics, and then you should feel much better within 24 hours or so. I will keep you in my thoughts today, that you feel better sooner!
Morning!
fofl! darks you are too funny!! thanks for making me smile this a.m. that's good for a last day of the week.
Thanks, and welcome.
now, i've got to get ready for work and bundle up to head out to the ugly cold snowy streets! yuck!!!!!
Okers.
Good luck, and be careful.
Stay warm!
I'll try. I'd rather just stay home today....I'm so very tired of the cold and snow. The weather here is horrific, IMO. Long long winters, which spring is a continuation of, very short summers, filled with rainy days. I can't wait to get out of this....may the years that I have to remain here quickly pass!!
"I can't wait to get out of this....may the years that I have to remain here quickly pass!!"
Naaah, just need to relocate to someplace warmer.
But not oppressively so.
Thanks. What I really want to do right now is go back to bed, which I could do if it wasn't for this stupid mandatory training this morning. It's likely to be a real barfer, too. It's on disciplining foster kids, or more accurately "Politicallly Correct Methods of Avoiding Any REAL Disciplining of Foster Children."
Don't you go getting sick, now. Have a good day, nic. I guess I'd better at least go throw some clothes on. I can get away with casual, but pajamas might be pressing my luck.
If only all the protective types took their jobs as seriously as do you.
Morning, everyone.
The steer did not die in vain.
Tonight we may support our local pizza joint; but it's too early to make that crucial decision. ;-)
"Well, I can honestly say that the ones I work with do. The problem is not so much with a lot of the people doing the actual work as it is with the bureaucrats that tie our hands with dumb@ss policies and counterproductive regulation that actually prevent us from doing our job effectively. That's not to say that there aren't irresponsible and/or incompetent caseworkers/investigators. I've seen some of that when I've had to work with some of the other counties, or when I have inherited cases transferred from other counties, but overall, my experience with the people who actually work with these kids and their families and the foster parents and the juvenile/family court system really do care about the kids. We all have our weaknesses, of course, and our blind spots, too, I suppose, but the burn out rate is high because so much is expected of us, and so little provided for us to comply with those expectations. In this area we have exceedingly limited resources, and all funding for anything goes through Little Rock, and that place is a black hole of waste and misappropriation of funds, not to mention a hub of democrat corruption.
Wow, westy! That is an awesome eagle photo!
