We had three sunny 80 degree days in a row, then the high temp dropped 15 degrees yesterday and another 15 today.

I talked to the agency ... the movie is set in the 50's so tomorrow morning I go in for a costume fitting to be ready for a scene shooting on the 23rd.

LOL...this one gave me a headache just by making it. Maybe it was the Blue Thingy, or your yob, or is it just Memorex?

Whatever, your life is more a book than a cartoon. ;)

Thanks Westy, I miss you guys...I usually check in with the "Door" when I get to my container/office in the morning and check out the news, but at that time of the morning, +5 hours ahead of Seattle time, there aren't a lot of folks posting.

Seems I don't leave the office until about 8:30 pm...a normal day of between 12 and 14-hours. Still having fun! but Idaho isn't too far off in the future.

Luego

I have a pooter on all the time, but the company installed a program that limits the amount of surfing during working hours. I used to sometimes check in to FReep during lunch while munching on a sandwich at my desk, but now a little sign pops up saying "You have exceeded your surf time".

No limits after hours, but they've tightened things up during the day. No more Debby does Dallas surfing during the day for me.

Hola Loddy,

The weather is beginning to change up here...I can't hear the elk bugling, but it's freezing hard at about 2 am now, instead of 4 as it was a couple of weeks ago. We're only about half finished with the project and winter is near...what fun we'll have then!!

I'll try to post a cool peecture of the road to the project...haven't used my photo parker for a long time...might not be registered anymore.

Later

I saw a documentary on this being built, which also included the new sonic rail system built along the coastline, as all travelers would only be able to get to/leave the airport by rail....it was incredible! The engineering/planning that went into this was amazing. I believe the Japanese employed many kinds of experts from all over the world (structural engineers/geologists of some kind....as, besided putting rail down all along the Japanese coast, the airport island was man made). It was one of the most interesting programs I've ever seen.

hmmm ... you need to get yourself into a decision-making position at the company and change that restriction... at least for yourself!

I think the old international airport for Tokyo was on a man made island too....

As for scary...Getting into Lages airport in the Azores is/was a scary place too...The runway was in a canyon running from the beach into the mountains...Was most always a strong wind blowing down the canyon...You came in over the ocean, all trimed up for the wind, and if it stopped blowing, like it did at times, was real easy to make a big splash...Especially if you lost an engine about then...

Of course I'm speaking about back in the primitive times of piston engines, not jets...I haven't flown since I got out of the Air Force, and don't intend to...LOL....

This is a photo of the road to the pass that we have to drive over to get to the project in Argentina. The elevation of the pass is 5,000-meters, or 16,400-feet above sea level. The pass is to the right of the photo continuing on the road.

The wind blows so hard on top we have to close the road because of windshields getting knocked out from bouncing rocks.
