All told about 2 hours today...Think the coolness kind of takes a little bit out of one too....

When the two kids were still at home the Junk room was the wife's and my bedroom...One time when I was working 2nd shift I was still in bed, but half awake, when I heard a quake coming..The wife heard it too and started out of the kitchen to ask what that noise was...She got as far as the dining room table when it hit...She had to grab onto it to keep standing, but figured out it was a quake....

....Westy.....

Well, try for just an hour and see if you feel so tired?

I swear Westy, I am jinxed anywhere I live. In Louisiana, it was hurricanes. And here in Missouri, it is 500 year flooding of the Mississippi river, tornadoes and quakes.

I remember well when that first quake hit here. I was at the hospital talking to a doc outside of surgery. Suddenly, the pendulum light over the desk started swaying and we felt the trembling of the building. We both immediately started running for the Intensive Care unit to see of our ventilator patients. And we both said later that we seemed to be running in slow motion because of the rolling feeling.

Damn, I hope we are not in for a big one here.

Westy, you have the most pleasant and scenic river to enjoy. I love the ducks. I don't guess you carry bread for them to eat, do you? LOL

What is in the Senior Center...bingo players?

Ciao!

Very beautiful. The Adige River... Another very beautiful town in the Veneto Region is Treviso (where Benneton is located)... Venice is impossible. Very beautiful, but too many tourists. In the summer you can only walk saying: "Excuse me... excuse me... excuse me..."

The soccer fans of Verona are among the most racist of Italy. They especially hate the Neapolitans and in a game the entire Verona side started chanting slogans to incite Vesuvius volcano to erupt again and destroy Naples.

At that time the great Diego Armando Maradona was playing for Naples. So when Verona went down to Naples to play the return match, the neapolitans were unusually quiet, unusually polite. No hostile chants, no bad slogans... until the great Maradona scored one of his magnificent goals. And at that point a huge banner... really huge, covering half the stadium was unfurled (meaning just about every Neapolitan was in on the secret, but kept quiet). And on it was written.

VERONA! Così la storia ha voluto
Giuletta puttana e Romeo cornuto!

(Verona, so it was foretold
Juliet a whore and Romeo a cuckold!)

There is still a lot of campanilismo in Italy, a lot of competition between towns and cities. (Like saying our church tower is taller than yours)

It reminds me now a bit of all this fuss about Red State and Blue state.

Ciao

OMG...I just looked up Abys after your tip. I believe we have an offshoot in Mickey. He fits the description perfectly. He is not a lap cat, he has an almost muted meow and he loves water. I think he has found the perfect home with three children to keep him amused. LOL

Thanks for the information.

Pssst guys!!!!

If she is not interested, you may not have to change your gross and slovenly ways.

Let science help you with a neat spray for your lady Valentine.

Warning: The side effects maybe a little hairy.

Well, tigers do, so you are gonna have to wait and see just how big he gets, unless you can find out who's his daddy.

That's one of the little surprises you get when you adopt an animal.

Well, gotta go. I think it's going to be a long day.

Remind me to tell you later about my encounter yesterday with our dumb as a brick prosecuting attorney.
