Senator Lieberman has been 100% behind President Bush on Iraq....since the beginning, without waiver. I think he's a good man...I did before he ran for VP with Gore....and then he became very weird while running....and I didn't like him then, at all....he completely changed, flip-flopped on everything he stood for before that...it greatly lowered my opinion of him when he did that...and because of that, I don't know if I could ever trust him, ever. But, he does seem sincere in his respect for the President.
(I hate the phrase. Don't know the solution because unfortunately the phrase is partly correct. Tis a problem.
I lost it when he did the count the vote thing while denying military ballots. I have forgiven him during the last year and a half. He is the only sane Democrat that I know still in office. If they were all like him (or better yet, Zell Miller) we could make this work soooo much better.
But I'm not like him. I won't buy things knowingly made from China unless I absolutely have to....because of outsourcing, and haven't for so many YEARS I can't remember.
I won't buy things from france because of what they've done to our President, our military, our Country and, of course, to the Iraqi people. And I haven't bought a french product for years, either.
I completely agree with you.
I love French wine. Haven't gotten any since their traitorous blood for money act.
There is an answer for that and I've seen it on some threads; I'm not sure I can explain it well. It's some vicious cycle going now. SL probably knows. I think it has to do with prices going up if there are no illegals available. Instead, the pay is kept superficially low and Dems can complain that minimum wage should be higher. Uhhh... in my dream world we'd also be doing away with stuff like welfare or at least make people on it work part-time...
We'd actually be able to access our emergency rooms were there no illegal pool of labor. STRIKE that, we'd actually have our emergency and trauma rooms OPEN again.
I love french wine too; but California makes great wine...I understand Australia does, too.
My favorite reds are Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon....and I can get that home grown, thank you very much! : )
I'm with you about France and China. Come look through my house. I try to support Mexico so that maybe they will shape up. India is ok too since it's a democracy and all... eventually our high tech jobs will return :)
I'm a serious believer in free markets. Not much better than that in this world.
I'll take a tour sometime.
Dare I say it.....grapes picked by........who?
*Sigh*
I buy from Mexico, India, Germany (yes, I know that they've been naughty...but nothing like france)...
Completely agree with you on that, as well.
Before illegals were here, there were legitimate newly-arrived Mexicans working the fields, and before them, Americans.
I think it's been going on since the early to mid 1900's.

that sounds about right. I used to live in California....for a very long time. I saw a huge cultural change from about mid-end 1970's...down turn.
lol
