I've worked with three of those, and the end result starts like the pics and ends significantly darker in my experience. Something to do with South American wood I guess. Both beginning and end, it's a beautiful wood, you'll like it.
brrrrrrrrrrrr is right! : )
:-)
Although I didn't want really dark wood, my husband didn't want oak, and the others were too red for my tastes. I still plan on having a couple of area rugs in the living room of a light color, so if the wood ends up too dark (for my tastes) the area rugs should lighten things up.
Sounds straight out of a Stephen King novel.
sharky, you are being very insensitive tonight! Tell grannie you're sorry!
Now, I've got to go out into the freezing temps for dinner and will be back later. I sure hope that I don't see any kind of similar unkind, ill-spoken, and insensitive words from you, sharky boy! : )
Always have, always will be FEISTY! : )
see u later. BEHAVE!!
Bite my Bullet, Shark-tooth..;)
I don't think you'll go wrong from the medium shade in your pic, to the darker end of what I've seen. It's a beautiful wood in all tones, plus, like you mentioned, your area rugs will add significantly to the feel of things.
Dear niccy.....believe me, the woman can take care of herself.
Be nice Gran, be nice.....Heh heh heh.......
The pic at the website is very similar to the actual product delivered. Not dark. But, the samples we had varied in age, and the older ones were definately darker. No matter, the product is really beautiful. The new floor should be installed by the end of the week. :)
If I'm nice, I won't be Gran..lol.
Is this pre-finished, or do they sand and finish it on site?
It's prefinished. That way we don't have to evacuate ourselves and the cats for a week.
Our son and fiancee are coming to watch the game with us. He's a huge Brady fan as well. He has a Michigan shirt and a Patriots shirt with his numbers......
The cats will definitely get a little dusty.....just a little less so. Plus, no chance of little paw prints under the finish.
This storm could come into play with the game? Are they playing in Boston, or where?
Pittsburgh. Too far away to know how the storm will play. If it's snowing it would be one more advantage for the Pats though. The Steelers QB is too young, Brady has been in the snow a lot.
Wow... should be a gooooood one. ;) Just had Chili...what to have? lol
