Well, it looks like they're shutting down another foster home....the one over the spoon incident. I don't know all the particulars, only that another caseworker who had 3 kids over there had to move them. This is geting really bad.

Well, it looks like most everyone is out honky tonking tonight....LOL

Not me. I've been working since 8 this morning and just got home a little bit ago. Dealing with some of these people is exhausting, and continual crises can be draining. I get home, I vegetate. I wish it were not so. And I'm on call through Sunday night. Hopefully we have reached the crisis quota for the week.

Yeah, I think it did blink a bit. And the pages were loading really slow for a while too. Seems to be better at the moment.

As far as the job, it is tough, but somebody's got to do it. I handle the work okay; it's the constant overload that I don't handle well. The pay isn't great, but it is adequate; And I do have benefits.

Well, don't let them run you into a breakdown...It's not worth it if you end up in a psycho ward.....

That is true. I'm pretty good at establishing my own boundaries as far as emotional investment, and when I do have time off, I'm pretty selfish with it. Wish I'd learned that lesson many years earlier. I could have saved myself a lot of grief.

You're right about that. It is like I sometimes tell my clients, "you can't give to somebody else what you don't have yourself." That applies at many levels.

When you have the time, could you guys tell me specifics that Bubba did to ruin the country? We were at dinner last night with another couple, and they want to visit the Clinton Library. I told them LIEbrary and they laughed, so they do have a sense of humor. We discussed the womanizing and lying (actual lying, not imaginary like Rats claim W did). At any rate, Iceman and I were talking afterwards and I need a refresher course.

I know Clinton ruined the military with don't ask, don't tell, ruined administrative policies in the NPS (according to my conserv friends in the agency), set aside parks with no budgets, trashed the White House on his way out, made people "disappear", pardoned major criminals, has a ridiculous wife who stayed with him through all the rapes and affairs... what else?

Thanks for the link. Ask your friend about the windsurfing, we are going there sometime late winter to explore, rest, fish, snorkel the reefs of Cabo Pulmo, and windsurf if it is good.
