Greetings Survivor FReeks!
Its time once again for a new season of Survivor!
Twenty Americans are stranded in Palau, the South Pacific paradise some call the 8th natural wonder of the world, where colorful wildlife, dense jungles and an underwater world beyond belief are haunted by the wreckage and remnants of World War II.
From the beginning, the game will be changed in a dramatic way: everything the Survivors have come to expect will be wiped out in the first 10 minutes.
Who will outwit, outplay, and outlast all others in Palau?
According to the official website, there will only be one tribe (at least for starters) and three contestants will get the boot during the first show.
Should be interesting!
Nice photo, thanks. Chris ranks right up there with all-time excellent Survivors for having somehow survived show after show, the only male in that nest of viperesses. His win was unexpected, incredible, and really, impossible.
Dat b kim
Dat b nice...
dat b ......... acceptable?
well, I wouldn't kick it out of a hut..
'Cept there'd be more room out on the beach!
Gotta admit, not too bad on the eyes! For a Liberal Chick!
Well, Well, Well! For all the hype about this group of castaways being given No Help whatsoever, it seems it was just that! Hype!
According to my sources on the web, the following is a transcript of Jeff Probsts initial instructions to the castaways excerpted from the official CBS website. (Although I admit, I havent been able to locate exactly which official CBS website they refer to.)
Probst: "Just behind you... that beach is your new home. Waiting for you, you will find: two machetes, one map to water. Along with the most valuable thing in this game, immunity. There are two immunity necklaces, one for the first woman, one for the first man who can get to shore and claim them. You are all on your own, it is your choice. But I suggest you make a decision, and start acting now, because this game is on."
Vidcaps from E! News Live (again February 15th) show the Race to the beach and the first two who win the ugly necklaces are Ian and Jolanda. BTW, if after watching tonights show, you think that Ian looks rather tall, your not alone. It turns out that this string-bean is 68 tall.
There is also footage of Jeff Probst instructing Ian and Jolanda (since they won the race to the beach) to pick your tribes. (There is some discussion as to whether or not this happens late in the day of day 1 or sometime on day 2)
Ian and Jolanda, go back and forth and divide the castaways into the following tribes:
Ulong: Angie, Ashlee, Bobby Jon, Ibrehem, James, Jeff, Jolanda, Kim & Stephenie.
Koror: Caryn, Coby, Gregg, Ian, Janu, Jennifer, Katie, Tom & Willard
The new tribes are then given their buffs and sent on their merry way to separate camps.
Now for the observant among you, you will note that there are only 9 on each tribe for a total of 18.
But there were 20 castaways! you say!
What happened to Jonathan and Wanda? you ask!
This is the first of (were told) many twists this season. Jonathan and Wanda are the last two castaways in pick your tribes. Being the last two, Jeff Probst informs them that they are the first two eliminated this season.
Yep, theyre sent packing before they can even start the game.
Additional vidcaps show the Immunity Challenge (which appears to be a typical obstacle course type challenge) and it appears the winner of the first Immunity Challenge is Koror.
Now Jeff Probst has also made numerous comments about booting your strongest teammates early on may mean that youll be back at tribal counsel (or some such nonsense.) Anyway, this leads many on the spoiler sites to believe that Ulong boots a Strong player first. And who is stronger than the perceived leader of the tribe, the one who picked the members of the tribe? Yes ladies and gentlemen, the spoilers out in webland are picking Jolanda as the first bootee! (Remember, Wanda and Jonathan were eliminated, not booted.)
Anyway, I have no reason to argue with those who have been doing this much longer than I have so, without further ado, here is:
Take care,
"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside,
thoroughly used up,
totally worn out,
and loudly proclaiming....
Wow, what a ride!"
Freepmail me if you want added to or removed from the Survivor Ping List!
Which begs the question, Who Long? And How Long?
And brings back the old song: "So long, Ulong, how long you gonna be gone?"
If they boot the lone black female right out of the gate, they can call the tribe "Red Necks"
Jeff Probst and Mark Burnett have both admitted that bringing back two "voted off" survivors in Survivor 7(?) was a bad idea and that they won't do it again.
However... if Cuz's scenario holds true, Jonathan and Wanda won't be "voted off"... will we see them later in this Survivor?????
I just looked at the bio for Jonathan. He went to my high school. He's the same age as my niece who also went to my high school, and I wonder if she knows him.
I wonder why they didn't pick him.
He seems okay.
I've wondered that myself.
There is a lot of speculation on the spoiler websites about this subject ranging from maybe he just rubbed everyone the wrong way during those first few hours of the game to maybe he was just flying under the radar a little too well.
There is also speculation that maybe Jeff Probst didn't tell them ahead of time that the last two picked would be eliminated.
I just don't know. We will see tonight!
If this is true, and Jolanda is the first woman ashore, then she can't be voted off tonite right? Aside from that I have my fingers crossed that Wanda is eliminated early. There's something about her that irritates me and the show hasn't even begun!
Waiting for the Big Show! One hour, and fifteen minutes...tick, tick, tick.
almost show time
Game ON!
Im here....seems like just yesterday..LOL
Where does time go?
See that tattoo'd gal w/ the metal boogers?
OK, who is this idiot woman in a dress?
The first most anoying loser!
