They're testing in Daytona, and Yahoo has opened the doors to the home of the Free Republic Fantasy League. As the 2004 champ (by a fender over WestCoastGal's JuniorsDreamTeam), one of my duties is to get the tires rolling, so I have.
You'll need a Yahoo ID (because they run it), then head here and sign up. The league ID is 1468, and the password is freepers.
When WCG started talking about dillos, I thought she was going to bring one home for supper. :)
Oh GREAT! Now everybody knows what's in the chili for the 500
Hey James! Want to be in the FR NASCAR YAHOO Leauge?
See the top of this thread for sign-up info.
Oops, sorry about that.LOL
It does come with it's own cook pot and serving dish BTW
Been many years, but if I remember correctly, "dillos on the half-shell" work pretty good on the pit too. :)
or on pit road to slow down the other teams;)
LOLOL, I think that only works in the movies, although I've never tried it. :)
I've just signed up, as team "Duck!" Please include me in your ping list.
I've been going through withdrawal from Fantasy Football, and hopefully this will fill the void. By the way, this is the first time I've tried fantasy nascar. Are there any online strategery tips?
As for strategy, rookies won both years the league was up, so there really is none :-) Seriesly, keep track of how many race-day starts a driver has, and figure out who likes what track. Qualifying used to be simple-have Ryan Newman on the team Friday but don't activate him Sunday (he and Rusty Wallace were the worst 2 race-day "A drivers"); but with most tracks now impounding cars between qualifying and the race, who knows about qualifying now.
How do the rules apply to qualifying for Daytona?
Simple; they don't (just like they don't if qualifying is rained out and they set the field by points).
Oh well, Gordon got quite a few polls last year when he was sitting in first and qualifying was rained out. :(
BTTT (changes in rules and talking about qualifying)

Now that Ward Burton's gone from NASCAR, they can actually run it :-)
I would enter my Duck in that race but Bo took it with him when he ran out on me...
