I have a satellite dish and am quite happy with it. There's not even cable run to my house. To go with a cable modem, I'd need to have it installed and then they'd insist I buy at least some TV package. I don't want to go there cause I think it's ridiculous what you get for your money with cable TV.
Sarah will never know that people used to just flip through the channels looking for something to watch, versus having an interactive guide to tell you.

Wife was quite impressed, as she's only known dialup speed, and even that has been spotty lately. It hung up a few times on me, so I'll have to see how that works out. Still, even if you have to reboot once in a while, it's a heck of a lot faster when it's working.
