Hey Reg, Steven asked me to let you know that he's not ignoring your freepmail, he just is unable to respond for the next few days.
If anyone wants to talk to Steven in the next three days, he'll respond at NES-TOS.

Is it snowing up there yet? We're expecting 4-8 inches starting late tonight through Saturday. Should be good bone-chilling weather for the AFC title game. The news media is warning people that when you drink, it lowers your body temperature.

Got a timeout, did he? Yep. I saw where it happened, and IMO it was completely unwarranted. Not that my opinion counts for anything.

It really hasn't stopped snowing since Tuesday. It is coming down very lightly right now, but we have a winter storm warning in effect from 6:00 p.m. tonight through 6:00 p.m. Saturday. Forecast is calling for 5 to 10 inches of snow, with winds of 15 to 30 mph causing significant blowing and drifting.

It takes very little to get zoted on the relgion forum these days.

It takes very little to get zoted on the relgion forum these days. Frankly, all the more reason not to go there. It seems to be predominantly populated these days by trad-leaning Catholics and hardcore Calvinists. Neither group is particularly welcoming of those who disagree with them. IMO, let them have their threads, and the religion forum, to themselves. I'd rather hang out here with the happy heretics and have fun. :o)

There is a chance of more snow for the weekend, but it's going to take a lot to catch us up to seasonal averages. I hope you aren't complaining, more is on the way. ;)

I hope you aren't complaining, more is on the way. ;) It isn't that I particularly want the snow, but I know we need it for the farmers.
I didn't bother shoveling the two inches we had yesterday, since I'm gonna be out shoveling this weekend anyway. :o)

Shoveling? What, are you trying to reduce your release of greenhouse gasses? ;-)
Apparently, our winter storm watch got moved to 4AM tonight. Last night, they said midnight. I think we might be able to take Sarah out and try the sled for the first time Saturday. She likes to make snow angels, but we hadn't tried the sled yet.

What, are you trying to reduce your release of greenhouse gasses? ;-) The soon-to-be-ex-mrs.-malakhi retains custody of the old snowblower, I haven't "invested" in a new one yet. I'd like to get through this winter without spending the money on one. My present driveway isn't huge, so ordinarily shoveling it isn't bad. If we get 10 inches, that would be rather less fun. But 4-5 inches would be no problem.

The soon-to-be-ex-mrs.-malakhi retains custody of the old snowblower, I thought that might be the case. Just remember, it's usually easier to move 5 inches twice than it is to move 10 inches once.

I'm curious about your end times beliefs. As you understand it, Jesus comes back, and then what?

Got a timeout, did he? As far as I could see, for no real reason. I suspect there were a few "button pushers". What a bunch of sanctimonious jerks!
I'm thankful you're not a button pusher. I'd be in jail already.

Forecast is calling for 5 to 10 inches of snow, with winds of 15 to 30 mph causing significant blowing and drifting. I hate the combination of fluffy snow and wind. Our wind is still blowing 120-125 mph, well ... at least 20-25 mph. I tried the snowblower yesterday but it was too windy.
I'll worry about it later - much later.
