After a nine month hiatus, The Neverending Story, the granddaddy of daily threads, has returned to Free Republic. Originally begun on March 24, 2001, as a religious discussion thread, the NES evolved over time into a daily thread spanning a wide variety of topics. The new and improved Neverending Story will feature conversation on religion, politics, culture, current events, business, sports, family, hobbies, general fellowship and more. We welcome you to hang your hat in our little corner of FR. We ask you to abide by the FR posting rules and, even in the midst of serious debate, to keep the discussion friendly and respectful. Those who wish to "duke it out" are asked to take it over to the Smoky Backroom. I placed this thread in "General/Chat" for a reason, so play nice and have fun! :o)
Jousha can read! 3 letter words but he's reading:').
Do you talk about the weather when you can't support your position?
I didn't say that scripture has been changed. I referred to an article where clergy is saying there WILL BE changes within the next 5 years...and that those changes would be radical/innovative. What I was trying to convey, is that the RCC is making changes that surprise her flock, and those outside of it.
Quoting..."I recall comments about revisions that were going to be made in the Bible...that some of the revisions would be radical...and that it would take about 5 years. I remember at the time thinking it would take that long in order to ease people into the adjustments...so as not to lose the flock. Since that article, I have noticed that the Vatican has taken positions that surprise many of their faithful...and even those outside the church."
I cannot help but think that they are being forced to make changes...because information is now so readily available (and easily accessible) for those who choose to search for the truth. If information weren't leaking out as it now is, i doubt you'd see these types of changes within the church.
While many think it's a bad thing...I think it's good.
I know you didn't. I was saying where's the scripture these guys are using to change things.
Must be the same resolution as last year, because you did this then, too. LOL
Steven isn't poor. He's wealthy in spirit.
Defending and supporting your principles is the best way to stand up for them. But, if ya can't, ya can't.
It's sunny but cold outside.
RE: "I use them interchangeably"
Interesting. If a man appears on the scene and manages to bring about world peace (and the Jews see him as the promised messiah) , will you see him as the second coming of Jesus...or will he be the antiChrist of the tribulation?
Where's the scripture rescinding the 4th commandment?
What positions do you have in mind?
How old is Joshua?
I'll let CD answer first.
Jael is banned from FR.

Almost 5. I put him in K4 in Sept. It just surprised me:') Maybe it's the norm for kids now but kindergarten used to be mostly play and social skills.

I have decided that no one can hurt me or make me lose my temper or get me upset unless I allow them that control. I'm not going to get insulted or fight today:')Who knows, maybe I'll at least make it to Feb this year:'). Miracles do happen.
I told them I didn't think you used a shovel but they said the snow was cold:')
RE: I was saying where's the scripture these guys are using to change things.
Note they said the changes would take 5 years. Also, there are Christian translations which have corrected the Isaiah 7:14 passage. The word "virgin" has been changed to the young woman or the maiden.
