The Neverending Story
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. |
After a nine month hiatus, The Neverending Story, the granddaddy of daily threads, has returned to Free Republic. Originally begun on March 24, 2001, as a religious discussion thread, the NES evolved over time into a daily thread spanning a wide variety of topics. The new and improved Neverending Story will feature conversation on religion, politics, culture, current events, business, sports, family, hobbies, general fellowship and more. We welcome you to hang your hat in our little corner of FR. We ask you to abide by the FR posting rules and, even in the midst of serious debate, to keep the discussion friendly and respectful. Those who wish to "duke it out" are asked to take it over to the Smoky Backroom. I placed this thread in "General/Chat" for a reason, so play nice and have fun! :o)
TOPICS: Arts/Photography; Books/Literature; Chit/Chat; Computers/Internet; Education; Food; Gardening; History; Hobbies; Humor; Miscellaneous; Music/Entertainment; Pets/Animals; Religion; Society; Sports; TV/Movies; Weather

older, fatter and uglier.....thanx for asking. :-) whatcha up to?

Whats up old man?
Well I have recovered from 9 straight days of rain with no appreciable damage. My "duck pond" is full and the ducks are back.
Today we are having fierce winds. Time will tell how much damage that causes.
According to Robert Kennedy Jr. this is all Bush's fault because he didn't sign the Kyoto treaty. :-)
How's by you and Becky?

9 straight days sounds like Seattle.
You friends with any of the ducks? We used to have a duck when I was a kid... Donald...until she layed and egg one day, then it became Donna. :) My dad loved that duck, he would call her and she would come a running to him and when she got to him she would squat down and let him pet her.
I wonder how them Kennedy boys got so rich and powerful from being so damn stupid?

I'll close out by asserting one last time that y'all are wrong, and I'm right! Ahem?
You may expect a copyright infringement letter from my attorney. :-)
We all know of course that you were "this close" to converting back to Catholicism and just couldn't take it. No doubt the usual suspects had you on the ropes.
Be well!

They are wild ducks, I don't make friends with them. A few years ago I caught some visiting kids feeding them. I don't want the ducks spreading the word that my yard was a free feeding station so I chased the kids, and the ringleader - their grandmother, off.

Whaddaya think it's like around here? I have learned to let my mind, ears, and eyes wander elsewhere when attacked with another "Tedy" story. And, I
like the guy. :-)
BTW, as I tell my cat, vomit anywhere but in my bed.
