After a nine month hiatus, The Neverending Story, the granddaddy of daily threads, has returned to Free Republic. Originally begun on March 24, 2001, as a religious discussion thread, the NES evolved over time into a daily thread spanning a wide variety of topics. The new and improved Neverending Story will feature conversation on religion, politics, culture, current events, business, sports, family, hobbies, general fellowship and more. We welcome you to hang your hat in our little corner of FR. We ask you to abide by the FR posting rules and, even in the midst of serious debate, to keep the discussion friendly and respectful. Those who wish to "duke it out" are asked to take it over to the Smoky Backroom. I placed this thread in "General/Chat" for a reason, so play nice and have fun! :o)
Brothers, right? There is definitely a resemblance.
I see you were just waiting for #200. ;o) 'Bout time you showed up. :o)
On the Weather Channel tonight, they were showing footage of the flooding in Utah. Entire homes being sucked into swollen rivers. Unbelievable.
Depends on what kind of 'sandwich' you mean. ;o)
Sorry to hear that. ;o)
I saw Dave post on a weekend once. Seriously. ;o)
Thanks. Yeah they are brothers. Both red heads, ( when they have hair:')
The baby was 2 in Sept.
There's a little-known corrolary to Murphy's Law which states that the number of TV channels available in a motel room is inversely proportional to the price paid for the room.

I like the haircuts. I've not been wearing mine quite that short, but nearly as short.
So the more you pay, the fewer the channels?
How long are you on the road for this time?
5 Eastern?
I've posted at unusual times before. Before you were around, in fact. One day I was in Auburn Hills, MI and found out shalev was from the area. That's probably the first time I posted out of normal time and space.

You paid 60 dollars for a hotel room? Wow! Eddie won't watch anything with higher than 30-40 channels. Much more than that and I have to sleep in the truck at a roadside park:')
Perverse, but true. I mean, in my experience. I've never come across an industry memo or anything. But that's the reality. A Hyatt near the airport will have 13 channels. The Comfort Inn will have 60.

Their daddy buzz cuts them. I like it a little longer though so I can tell the color of their hair . I've had the baby all day. The older was at the hospital today for day surgery for some dental work. I just took some motrin for my backache:')
Oh, you are saying the more expensive they are the less channels? I usually make our reservations so Eddie thinks they are all cheap but some better than others.
I should be home tomorrow night. But I'll be back. Luckily, Toledo is only 5 hours away.
After many years of pursuing business, GM decided to release about $250,000 worth of spending last year. As long as it got spent by the end-of-year, before the money would disappear. Another $150,000 or so is pending for an order due by end-of-February. The boss here got Feb. declared, buedgetarily, 2004. As long as they have the money, I'll take it.

I made reservations at a Best Western awhile back. I asked if they had Fox News and internet connections in the room. The girl asked me if I was from Free Republic:')
