After a nine month hiatus, The Neverending Story, the granddaddy of daily threads, has returned to Free Republic. Originally begun on March 24, 2001, as a religious discussion thread, the NES evolved over time into a daily thread spanning a wide variety of topics. The new and improved Neverending Story will feature conversation on religion, politics, culture, current events, business, sports, family, hobbies, general fellowship and more. We welcome you to hang your hat in our little corner of FR. We ask you to abide by the FR posting rules and, even in the midst of serious debate, to keep the discussion friendly and respectful. Those who wish to "duke it out" are asked to take it over to the Smoky Backroom. I placed this thread in "General/Chat" for a reason, so play nice and have fun! :o)
...and which weed would that be?
Yuck

Looks good to me:
I just got done planting all the stuff I've bought. I'd take pictures but my camera is not working:(.
Becky
The crabgrass is in the back yard, underneath 8" of snow. :o)
My sentiments exactly.
On the way in to work Friday, I passed a Bobcat parked near the street, with a "for sale" sign on it. I thought of you. :o)
I moved the marigolds, black-eyed susans, and poppies from 2" pots into 4" pots this morning. Then I put seed for two different varieties of decorative grasses, blue sage and impatiens into the starter pots. I also planted a compact variety of cucumber seed into a 6" pot. This kind can supposedly grow and produce cucumbers even indoors. I figure I'll be eating from my indoor garden before I have a chance to plant outside!
The second apple seed I planted has sprouted. I wasn't sure if it would, so I had just stuck it in the same pot as the other seed. When it gets a little bigger, I'll move it into its own pot. I might keep one as a bonsai, and plant the other one in the yard when it gets big enough. I'll have to see how hardy this particular variety is to the cold. I'll take a picture of it once it is big enough to look interesting.
I'd take pictures but my camera is not working:(.
Did you try changing the batteries? I know my digital camera burns through them like crazy. I replaced them again this morning before I took those pictures.
We are not sure if it is the battery. The camera just won't turn on at all. But Mack thought the battery would go out slowly. This thing was fine one minute, then shut off on it's own and won't come back on. Do you think that could be the battery.
Becky
That's exactly what mine does when the batteries go out. I'd try changing them with fresh batteries, and see if that makes the difference.
Even when the camera is sitting on the shelf, it is drawing a charge off the batteries. I'm thinking about taking the batteries out between uses, since I don't use it all that frequently. Mine takes regular AA's.
Gavin is still a diehard Yankees fan, though. The Brewers play the Yankees this season in interleague play, and we have tickets for one of the games the Yankees will play in Miller Park this June. It is the first time the Yankees have been to Milwaukee since the Brewers moved to the National League.
Adrienne likes the Angels because their color is red, and their "A" logo is the same letter as the beginning of her name. ;o)
congrats uncle Vince. :-)
This camera takes a special kind, its a rechargeaable kind, lithium.
Becky
Thanks Steven! :o)
Did you happen to pull out the directions? ;o)
Congratulations!
Thank you! :o)
Check out the Soggy pickmeister goin' to town. :-)
Not that I plan on spending the next four days gloating, or anything... ;o)
