After a nine month hiatus, The Neverending Story, the granddaddy of daily threads, has returned to Free Republic. Originally begun on March 24, 2001, as a religious discussion thread, the NES evolved over time into a daily thread spanning a wide variety of topics. The new and improved Neverending Story will feature conversation on religion, politics, culture, current events, business, sports, family, hobbies, general fellowship and more. We welcome you to hang your hat in our little corner of FR. We ask you to abide by the FR posting rules and, even in the midst of serious debate, to keep the discussion friendly and respectful. Those who wish to "duke it out" are asked to take it over to the Smoky Backroom. I placed this thread in "General/Chat" for a reason, so play nice and have fun! :o)
True. All things are possible. I forgot about the new mountain coming up that our sub found.
Good night.

Yeah, if that property has been on the market for a year, I'd certainly come back to her with a lower offer. Obviously no one else is prepared to buy it. Wouldn't blame you for not wanting to deal with her again, though.
(Yawn) I was up until after 1:00 a.m. the past few nights. Tonight I've been running on the energy boost from my martial arts class, but that's wearing off now. Time to get some shuteye. 'Night!
Night. Good to be back, huh?
Nice to see the thread back and so many old friends...I'm looking forward to participating...
Hi Doug
Howdy Douglas! What's new and exciting?
The main reason I'm looking at undeveloped rural land instead of commercial real estate is because there is a local glut of office/retail space. Same with mid to upper level single family homes. Construction has been booming for the past several years, to the point where it has now outstripped demand. It'll take a while to catch up. So I think land would be better right now, and then maybe look at commercial real estate in the next few years. If I buy before demand equals supply again, I can probably find something that the owner has been sitting on for a while and wants to dump cheap.
You are kind, I'm sure you'll school me about "how to post a link". (and I will rename it to: 'mash here' he he)...

Howdy john! Welcome aboard.
Hi Cindy...good to see you over here again.
I used to frequent the religion threads when I first got here. Then I "decided" to mainly hang out in News.
No better place on the net than FR, that is fer sure!
A year ago? I guess I missed it. Too late to chastise you now I guess...
... But Dr Laura's gonna be pi$$ed at you!
Hey v...lots going on. Daughter getting married in April. I'm joining you and Mack in the business world. I'm opening a commercial window cleaning franchise in March.
How's things going for you?
Oh! And when does recess begin? (I....can't....seem....to....stand....up)
Sorry to hear that... hope things turn up for you. :)
