Practice makes perfect.....post on....
When I was young, I used to frost and highlight my hair, and I had it done in a shop-red hair is too easy to screw up frosting on-one time I did it at home, I ended up with pink frosting-it looked like cake icing gone wrong. Another time, it ended up sort of orange-like a fox with mange. But since I've been back to my natural color for all these years and all I'm doing is covering gray, I do it myself.
"Sorority House syndrome"
I hadn't thought of that, but you are right.
most i ever did on my ownwas SUN IN when i was in HS and that was bc i had to have my dad convinced it was really the sun that did it!
Excellent choice SG - I want to hug ya! This could be viewed as his 'breakout' song - as it was his first song heard outside Dr. Demento - on Tom Snyder's show for which I forget the name and can't get Dan Akroyd out of my mind anyway. It was such a cheap production the 'drums' were played by Al's manager beating on his accordian case. Bless you SG!
you gotta thank T5 bc she posted it. and i think i told you i was a huge dr. demento fan
what time frame was dr. demento on? bc i swear i still lived in home when i listened to it and you would have been in a crib at that point.... ; )
Oh, by the way-the shortbread for yesterday's meeting worked out just perfectly-I took some sliced fruit to go with it, and someone else brought the coffee and tea. Thanks again!
oh good, i am glad it went over well. it is very easy to do since it has so few ingredients!
LOL! I turned my hair orange with Sun In when I was in high school-it looked ghastly. I still remember how that stuff stank of peroxide, too.
I heard it on the radio on the way home from work, requested by a listener and thought I'd post the words because it was too serious in here-I used to love Dr. Demento, too.
Tex I am so sorry - tranfer all that SG praise your way. I misread stuff in my Dr. Dementogasm. Nice shooting, Tex!
First of all - waht's with this past-tense talk re: Dr Demento being on? The Good Doctor lives on thank you - celebrating his 30th year on the air in 2000. And as for your comment about me being in the crib - do you have to make us all out to be so much younger - can't we dig you as contempraries, you hot lil goof?
demento is still alive? he's GOTTA be using a walker! ; )
Errr, no - was it? LOL.
well i was thinking about you being in a bed w/o pants on... ; ) diaper isn't pants is it?
Thank You-hearing that reminded me of another funny parody I've heard a few times, but I can't remember the artist or all the words-it is a parody of Tom Petty's "The Waiting is the Hardest Part" called "Ned Beatty Had the Hardest Part", and it is hilarious.
Believe you me.......not only was it all over my face and my clothes.........but when I started rinsing it out it was all over my nice clean bathroom........
It's actually very subtle....I still look like a brunette but it's a rich color (not my normal dishwatermousybrown) and there is a definite red hue to it, especially in the light.
Hubby likes it, and that matters most to me!!!!
patton will be all over you at the ball, he is a sucker for redheads : )
Errrrrrrr...
