Its a story that takes place over 24 hours of the day - hence the title. Each episode follows the next unfolding in an hour of real time. You follow the characters from one episode to the next hour by hour to see what happens. And you don't know how it all turns out literally til the last hour of the day which also happens to be the last episode of the season. "24" got off to a great start last night. Hours 3 and 4 will be shown tonight.
Yes... Joel Surnow and Robert Cochran wrote a great show in "La Femme Nikita." It was based on the French movie of the same title but the heroine, played by Peta Wilson was really revolted by working for the "good guys." Their morally ambiguous tactics offended her sense of justice - plus the way they blackmailed her with death to keep her in the business. It was cancelled after five seasons but still has a cult following.
Another great line...after being told to remove his clothes by the terrorist, the Secretary of Defense retorts "You first!" The ONLY two network shows I watch are "24" and "Smallville".

I think Heller's daughter is mole for the terrorist.
I was thinking the same last night.
The scene when the terrorists big in Heller and the daughter and the guy asks for permission to kill her. It was as if her usefulness, time and place of Heller, was used up and the underling looked to the boss for further guidance.
Something stinked there.
I think he is there so annoy Cloe. Desn't take a lot do do that. She is growing on me though...
Chloe is cool, tells it like it is. That Sara chick is trouble though.
And she can't seem to do a damn thing!

I like last season's President better. The woman running CTU is a moron.
