1. USC
2. Auburn
3. Texas
4. Oklahoma
5. Utah
547. Washington
As much as it breaks my heart to say this, Notre Dame is not part of the big 3 anymore, in anything beyond a purely historical sense.
Ever since they walled off Touchdown Jesus, the program has been rotting away.
Famous last words.
Au contraire! If you're a hot shot Texas high schooler getting recruited by Texas and OU and your last look at both teams was their bowl games, which one might you be more inclined to sign with?
The worse OU looks, the better it is for Texas recruiters.
I think PAC10 always has the toughest teams (them and the SEC) overall. But they have always been limited to only the Rose Bowl it seems. Almost like they only get one team from their conference into a big bowl game, while other conferences send 2nd and 3rd place teams to big bowls.
Michigan had a brutal schedule. The Ohio State loss hurt them, for sure, however they were no pushover. It wasn't as mismatched as say, Utah and Pitt (the dark side of BCS rankings--suddenly irrelevant conferences with locked-in bids; let's face it, neither Pitt or ViTech deserved a BCS).
If you look at how the Big 12 did, Tech and UT really honored the conference. I-State, too. Can't say the same for the two Oklas and that other Texas school.
That also was their last post on this thread.
LMAO! That's hysterical!
College football is cyclical.
Then how come a bunch of injured USC starters are running circles around a healthy OU defense?
I guess I see them as overrated based on the medias view of them. How can they have such a sorry team and always get air time on TV??? And also a bowl game???
OU or the keywords thus far afforded this thread.
KEYWORDS: BCS; COLLEGEFOOTBALL;
It's their great diet.
The TV contract is NBC's gamble that they'll get better. They never should have played that bowl game, they should have refused it because of their own unworthiness for any bowl game.
I like it too---is there a Simpson in the houuuuuuse?
Of course the biggest joke of the night is OU--- and I was just telling my son the other day that Jerry Jones should take a big bag of cash up to Oklahoma and beg Stoops to come coach the Cowgirls---
I am glad that USC's coach is winning--I think he got a raw deal in the Pros.
If this was a fight, they would have stopped it long ago.
Congrats.
BCS = BullCrapSeries
The problem with Auburn is, they would have to play in parking lot---they never get a break when it comes to National Championship--
This is the second time they've missed out--remember the year they went undefeated and couldn't play in bowl game?
That was badddd.
