Shortly after the election, the UK's Daily Mirror headlined: "How can 59,054,087 People be so Dumb?"
now that the vote counting is done, it seems that this headline has taken on a whole different meaning than what the UK Daily Mirror intended, look here for vote totals: election 2004 results
George W. Bush 62,028,194 50.74% 286 electoral votes
John F. Kerry 59,027,612 48.28% 251 electoral votes
moderators, if you feel this should go, then by all means delete it, but I think this thread has merit because of the gloatfest that we are rightfully having here! And I think that the Daily Mirror printing almost the number of Kerry voters is very funny! How can so many people be so dumb (to vote for sKerry) indeed! LOL!
Thats pretty funny
LOL, good catch! With hindsight, their headline is entirely accurate.
How can English tabloids use such an insulting headline, and pretend to be taken seriously, when one takes into account that the majority of the English people are infatuated with a footballer who is the closest example of a dysfunctional individual?
