Bama has a long history of National Championships. If you ever lived in the state (perhaps you have), you'd understand the inferiority complex of Auburn fans. Its pitiful to watch.

You can't rest on Bear Bryant's laurels forever. That in itself is getting to be pitiful. This from a fairly neutral observer.

We did get another title under Gene Stallings. That one was special because we weren't supposed to. :) Only one sportswriter was voting Bama #1 all year...all the rest voted Miami. That guy was getting hate mail from Miami fans until the Title game when Bama spanked those dreadlocked criminals.
