I just visited Move On .org for some amusement, because it's always fun seeing deranged liberal TV ads, especially after the fact that they did absolutely nothing to change the outcome of the election. Anyways, I saw this ad on there "Who Runs Fox News" or something like that. I want to know, what's the deal with Fox News. Why do Liberals call it Republican News, Is it because CNN, MSNBC, CBS are very liberal and anything balanced is considered conservative because those Lib networks are supposed to be balanced? What's the deal here, I just want to know what your thought and input is, on Fox News and why it's hated.
Welcome to FR.
Read Bernard Goldberg's book "Bias". It was an eye opener for me and it kind of woke me up to conservative thought. Not that Goldberg is necessarily a conservative, but he is objective enough to see the other side of liberalism.
It also made me realize while liberals like to make fun and ridicule the non-secular religous people in our land, that liberalism is its own secular religion. It is a belief system that defies rational thought.
No matter what the news source, FreeRepublic will vet it like bill clinton on an intern. Electronic truth detection, so to speak.

any online articles you know of?
Fox News has this annoying (to liberals) habit of presenting both sides of an issue. It has another annoying habit of not being politcally correct. It has another annoying habit of reporting ALL of the news. It has another annoying habit of reporting GOOD news on the Iraqi war. It has another annoying habit of putting the news in perspective. It has another annoying habit of...need I go on?
I see what you mean.
Dunno.
I haven't ever been able to figure out the reason behind anything the libs say.
What is certain is that libs only like news that makes them feel comfortable in their self-described pseudo-superiority.
Hence they will quote such reliable sources as Al-Jazeera as being more reliable.
They have a firm grip on the media, but in their odd worldview the media isn't far enough to the left.
Though such things as Dan Rather's faked memos being groundwork for the Kerry Campaign's "Fortunate Son" ads showed not only illegal collusion but media bias on a wide far-reaching scale.
Yes, Liberals always give links to CNN or WashingtonPost articles, acting as if those sources are more reliable than any other news source.
Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. It's nice coming to forums to discuss politics, without being ridiculed.
I'm not sure you do

It's always interesting to check out the chatter at Amazon.

what do you mean? Are you talking about liberals failing to realize their grip on the media?
You're welcome, and welcome to Free Republic. This place is changing the world and you might as well get on board.
"Thanks man, I just am tired of liberals saying "Where did you hear that from, FOX NEWS? HA HA HA!!"
I always just tell them I read it in the New York Times. Liberals actually rarely read more than the headlines, so this answer will never be challenged! Plus, it really shuts them up.
Because it's the only major news source that doesn't openly cheerlead for the Democrat party.
