This type of activity by CBS (et al) should be news not because it's rare, but because it isn't. Perhaps this doesn't make the top 5 (Tsunami, Election, Iraq, Berger, Rather?) but it should make the top 10.

2. Dan Rather - Who actually forged the documents Dan passed off as real?
3. John Kerry - What do his army records say? What were those "Plans" anyway?
4. International ANSWER - Who funds these guys?
5. Kofi Annan - Was he complicit in or asleep while billions of dollars in bribes and graft happened with his organization's approval?
6. Iran & Syria Shell Game - Who has WMD, Osama's buddies and infiltrates terrorist into Iraq?
7. Saudi Sheiks - Is a single one of them who funded Al Qaida in prison?
