Good reasonable advice. I know I'd want the right to call a vet.
What I wonder is if I am in slippery footing if I give injections. ~shrugs~ I'd hope I could just honestly do what I can.
Well - you'd probably be on slippery footing if the horse got worse.
We do whatever is necessary and then just tell our vet when he gets here what we've done.
Our contract has several clauses in it but if push came to shove, I don't know that they'd do us any good.
"I consent to any medical treatment deemed advisable in an emergency, and understand any medical fees incurred shall be paid in full by me. Trails End Ranch shall have no liability for the outcome of the treatment".
"Trails End Ranch Agrees to take every precaution to protect the horse from illness, accident, fire and theft. The stable owner and/or stable management shall not, while exercising reasonable care, be held responsible for accident, illness, fire or theft."
