Have you been surprised about how often we've had people on here who've had colicy horses. I didn't realize it happened so often.

Yeah - it's pretty common isn't it. Their digestive systems are pretty sensitive, it'd be so much easier if they could throw up when they feel lousy.

I haven't read through all the posts so I'm catching up. I'm at the colicky horse, who I hope is ok this morning.

Becky, you mention that you didn't know that colic was so prevalent. The guy that runs the pet cemetery where a couple of my horses are buried, said the vast majority of horses he picks up for burial are colics and he picks up several horses EVERY DAY. Unbelievable.
