Thread Four: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/1332664/posts |

Free Republic has a lot of horse people that have found each other on other threads . And since we all like to talk horses, how about a thread where it is not off-topic, but is THE topic?
This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in . There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news . Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.
The purina box is bad html, not bad picture. Check to see that you are typing IMG SRC and not just IMG

I'm very sorry for you and your horse. Hoping he is better soon.

Sorry doll, I do not understand: "what I get when I hit edit (can't post the p word)"
Copy paste the properties here, just the address.
You're not new, I was just letting you know about the new people ;~D
Are you getting the right URL. you should be clicking properties no edit. Or am I misunderstanding?

Some words I tpye give me the box:') It's ok. We are working on it. I'm DL to Eddies. Takes awhile though.
grrr
How long have I been posting pics? So red faced!.
This is the winning hall. No way to compete against this:') AWWWWW
Have you been surprised about how often we've had people on here who've had colicy horses. I didn't realize it happened so often.
Becky
We gathered that the growling was a sign that the answer had been found ;~D
I figured that, just fencing:)

Yeah - it's pretty common isn't it. Their digestive systems are pretty sensitive, it'd be so much easier if they could throw up when they feel lousy.
Seems like it follows wet ot cold weather too doesn't it?
Duck. Here comes a South Texas Snow ball:')
I've noticed it happens alot in cold weather, I haven't paid attention if it was wet.
I had two colic years ago within a week. The only thing the vet could figure was cold weather which results in cold water, and the horses won't drink it enough.
Rusty coliced in the summer tho...
