My personal favorite was a father that tried to tell us that it was ok for his kid to wear a bicycle helmet while riding a horse.
I personally don't feel comfortable riding without a helmet... and I would always make my kids wear them until they were old enough to make thier own decisions, but we all could argue about this topic till the cows come home. :-p

Why isn't it? seems like bike and riding helmets should be designed for about the same speed and type of fall.
