So I jump off step the horse over, make a perfect mount. The thing was they were watching our dismounts too. Lost there too:(.

What was unsafe about the dismount, and what are they looking at for a perfect mount?

True. I'm trying to put a flyer together to post tomorrow. I can't get it to come out like I want it. Would yall start with anyone interested or invite people to call for info for an already established club? Any suggestions?

I think on the dismount, if I remember right, I kick out of both stirrups and just kind of jumped off.

A good mount is the horse stands perfectly still till your in the saddle, set, and ask the horse to move off.

On the horsemanship judge side, IF the horse starts to move off you need to stop him, not go ahead and swing on as the horse moves with no correction. You need to do it fast, not dawdle, but You need to sit down gently, not land "heavy" :) It all sounds easy (to me) but doing it requries quick reflexs, and lots of control of your own self.
