Do any of yall know if it's a problem to lunge with a briddle on?
Course if you really want to get fancy, you can use two lines and a circingle, but still would only do this with a snaffle bridle. ;~D
No - no problem. Are you free lunging or do you have a halter over the bridle to attach the lunge line to? And if you don't have a single rein, tie them up so they don't fall down and get stepped on.
Either remove the reins at the bit, or unbuckle them and twist them multiple times under the neck and rebuckle so they don't flop around. You can NOT put the reins under the stirrups - too short and they don't stay put.
I pass the longe line through the snaffle ring on the near side, over the top of Grace's head (tracking the headstall) and clip it to the snaffle ring on the outside. That way, the longe line acts equally on both sides of her mouth (you have to be careful not to yank though, because it also acts on the top of the horse's head.)
I attach elastic side reins while longing also.
