I really do have my hot chocolate now:') Sugar free with skim milk and whipped cream. I have to warm up and go out to the stables and pick up saddles. Burning more holes in the fenders(?). My saddle and Eddies. My trainer wants me to start riding with his. I have another lesson tomorrow.
I love all the little noises that the guinea pigs make, the squeaking and chattering. If I'm not mistaken, the lifespan of guinea pigs is 3 to 5 years but we have one right now that's over 5. He looks terrible and he's blind in one eye but he keeps chugging along.
Pretty funny on that sex of the dog thing. Butch, Ha! We did the same thing recently with a kitten. For the life of me, I can't tell the sex of cats. We named this little kitten Layla, thinking it was a girl. Took it to the vet for shots and now the kittens name is Lyle.
The guinea pig was what we were mixed up on, not the dog:). The guinea pig went from Butch to Sugar.

Point of interest. I just saw on RFDTV tonight there is a special on with Martha Josey. It says on the guide it's a barrel racing show, but the info guide said "basic horsemanship, common mistakes of beginner riders and and young horses, tack problems. Might be interesting. I've always wanted to go to one of her clinis. I've been told they're very good. Might get a feel for how "good" she is from this. I've been told she is more realistic in her training technics then Lyons, Parelli, etc.

What time? I don't know if we pick up this channel.
I'm going to record it.
Is Martha Josey in Texas? I can't remember.
A weekend in the mountains!!! Sounds good. We dream of finding lots of property someday also, with lots o land and trees, mountains, barns, etc.
This is a fun site to peak at once in awhile and dream.

9:00 on RFDTV.
Martha Josey is located in Marshall Tx. She give weekend, or whole week clinics. Several people I know have been and said they learned alot. You're on your horse for 8 hours a day. But:), I've had people tell me they learned alot of Lyons, etc. So I'm curious to get a first hand look at her training. My son told me she'll be trying to sell her Magic Barrel Bit:)
Becky
Are you kidding? Does she have a bit that she says will make you win? Wouldn't surprise me, some of those guys say if you buy their halter/leadrope/whip whatever, you'll be able to make your horse cook dinner and do the wash.
I set up my Tivo to record Martha Josey and the Richard Shrake program that comes on after it.
Eddie wants to know what RDF stands for. Anyone find out?
My ex-trainer's mother used to worship Lyons and the ground he walked on. I've seen his clincs a couple of times at the Big E, a big horse/agricultural event out here, and he's very good. I would never try any of his techniques myself, but they work for him quite well! :-)
Welcome to the thread. I don't think that I've had the chance to welcome you yet. :-)
I think it's RFD, but no, sorry, I don't know what it stands for.
Becky
"Use to worship":) Has she seen the light.
I've seen a few of his videos. They don't impress me. IMO, they are unrealistic for the average horse owner.
I saw the video of his on loading a problem horse....LOL...I could only wish the problems I had loading some horses were as easy as the horse he was working with.
